IKU Program of Fashion Design is an associate degree program, which is designed to educate designers with the qualities required by the fashion industry, who can make designs suitable for contemporary, aesthetic and functional values, follow the technological developments with the knowledge and skills of creating fashion-brands. The education language of the program is Turkish.

The education period of IKU Program of Fashion Design is 2 years and the courses are carried out theoretically and practically. The educational environment was prepared accordingly, and classrooms, clothing and drawing workshops, production workshops, computer laboratories were organized in order to ensure the permanence of theoretical knowledge and to gain professional skills.

As Istanbul Kültür University Program of Fashion Design, by participating in events such as courses, semester, company-store trips, workshops, accessory-fabric-machine-material fairs, fashion show organizations of famous brands and designers, exhibitions that develop and specialize our students socially. it is ensured that they are more connected with the sector.

High school graduate students are placed in our IKU Program of Fashion Design with TYT score.

As the Istanbul Kültür University Program of Fashion Design, our vision is to train original and productive fashion designers who are capable of creating fashion and brands, able to cope with the global society and working environment challenges of today and tomorrow, possessing the knowledge and skills required by the fashion industry, developing, self-expressing, and productive fashion designers.

Our mission is to cooperate with institutions that have theoretical knowledge and practice together, have advanced technological equipment, can create new products by organizing all stages of design process from abstract to concrete, from idea to product, know the sector well, provide creative, international fashion design education, qualified business It is among the duties of our department to contribute to the development of academic knowledge and fashion industry with its strength and technical knowledge transfer, to raise researchers, graduates with artistic perspective and strong ethical values.

The need for creative fashion designers, which can meet the rapidly developing and changing demands of the fashion industry, gained the knowledge and ability to use current technologies, have the ability to organize the design process, is increasing. In this direction, the purpose of the Program of Fashion Design is to train designers who can make designs in accordance with aesthetic and functional values, follow the technological developments with the knowledge and skills of creating fashion-brand, and qualify for the fashion industry.

We will be pleased to see the future fashion designers, who are in need of textile, ready-made clothing and fashion industry on an international scale, making a difference in the IKU Vocational School Program Fashion Design.

At the end of their theoretical and practical training for 2 years, our candidates will be on the podium as designers.
Our students who graduated from Program of Fashion Design can work as designers in design departments, product development, research and development, collection preparation and Planning Departments of public and private sector textile companies. Apart from these, our students who have graduated from the Program of Fashion Design can fine employment opportunities in places such as, design studios, fashion agencies, marketing, purchasing, brand management or customer relations departments, and in boutique fashion houses.
