The aim of the program is to raise solution-oriented foreign trade experts who have practical knowledge in foreign trade subjects, master customs legislation and who will respond to the exportation offensive of the industry, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that head towards developing markets in a highly competitive environment.

The content of the program consists of Foreign Trade Operations, Customs Procedures, General Accounting, Basic Law, Micro Economy, Business Administration, Banking and Foreign Exchange Transactions, Foreign Trade Transactions Accounting, Logistics, International Finance, Electronic Commerce, International Marketing, Information and Communication Technology, International Economic Organizations, Macro Economics, Business Mathematics, Foreign Language, Vocational Foreign Language, Trade Law, International Economics, Supply Chain Management, and Free Zones.
The İKÜ Foreign Trade Program has 50% and 100% scholarship quotas. Students in the İKÜ Foreign Trade Program can enter the DGS exam after receiving their associate degree and transfer to the relevant departments of the Open Education faculty in their third year via open admission..

The period of study in the İKÜ Foreign Trade Program is 2 years, consisting of theoretical and applied courses. In addition to classes, seminars that socially develop students and provide specialization in technical areas are held during the year and technical visits to various institutions are organized.
İKÜ Foreign Trade Program graduates can take the DGS exam and transfer to four-year universities. The Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) is administered by ÖSYM. Graduates of Foreign Trade;
- After graduation, students can complete their education to 4 years via Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) and after completing the relevant internship periods, by taking exams and completing the relevant time, graduates can work as Customs Specialist, Customs Advisor Assistant, Customs Consultant, custody officer, approval service officer, Inspection officer.
- They can work as Foreign Trade Specialist or Assistant at the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade (DTM).
- They can work as Foreign Trade Responsible in foreign trade and customs related companies.
- Can work as Foreign Trade Responsible in Foreign Trade and Logistics departments of companies
