The objective of the İstanbul Kültür University Banking and Insurance Program is to train qualified and equipped intermediate candidates to work in various branches of banks, finance departments of various companies or in the field of insurance.

Study Process:


The period of study in the İstanbul Kültür University Banking and Insurance Program is 2 years, consisting of theoretical and applied courses.Courses in the first and second semesters consist of core courses including mathematics, law, economics, introduction to banking and basic banking services, introduction to insurance and accounting. In the third and fourth semesters, courses such as insurance law, funding and risk management in banking, basic credit operations, international banking, health-life insurance and fire insurance, damage and risk management are given for professional specialization, and a project is completed.

In the İKÜ Banking and Insurance Program, students are trained to master the basic principles of banking and insurance, know the national and world economy, master business subjects, and have sufficient knowledge and internship experience related to their profession. Thanks to this training process, well-equipped individuals are trained with the ability to closely follow the innovations related to the sector and implement them and establish customer relations effectively.

Within the framework of the protocol signed between İstanbul Kültür University Vocational School of Business Administration and SAB (Insurance Agents Association), students of the Banking and Insurance Program can get their workplace practice courses and do internships at SAB member Insurance Agencies and/or graduate students can be employed by SAB Insurance Agencies. A similar protocol signed with SAB was also signed with GESİD (General Insurers Association). Within the framework of this collaboration, GESİD helps students with their workplace practice courses and activities to find internship placement. The members to be appointed by GESİD Board of Directors assist in conducting training collaborations, organizing conferences that introduce the profession in certain courses and meetings for the students of the İKÜ Banking and Insurance Program.

Furthermore, students of the İKÜ Banking and Insurance Program have the opportunity to enter the Vertical Transfer Examination and continue their education at the undergraduate level after completing their associate degree education. Graduates who want to continue their education abroad can participate in undergraduate completion programs by studying the 3rd and 4th year courses abroad, in accordance with the protocols of İstanbul Kültür University at universities abroad.
