The popularity and strategic importance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are increasing day by day. With the advancement of technology, UAVs have become a part of social life especially in the commercial field in addition to their use for security purposes, and they have started to be used in many sectors. We are witnessing their growing influence in many areas of our lives.
Program of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Technology is a two-year associate degree program designed to train qualified human resources needed in the rapidly developing UAV sector. The program aims to train well-equipped individuals who can take part in all stages of UAV technology such as design, production, maintenance, operations, and piloting.
Students receive both theoretical and practical training in line with contemporary quality standards and requirements. Graduates become qualified to work as technical staff in institutions engaged in research and development on UAV systems or in companies that manufacture platforms and components, and as operators or pilots in firms conducting flight operations.
The education provided within the scope of the program enables students to learn the technical and operational dynamics of the UAV sector, while offering graduates the opportunity to position themselves in this field by benefiting from the sector’s growth potential.

Today, unmanned aerial vehicles are widely used not only in the defense industry but also in many sectors ranging from agriculture to logistics, mapping to media, and the demand for trained human resources in this field is increasing day by day.
The Program of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology and Operations, established by Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School, was created to respond to this need and provide the sector with qualified technical personnel and operators. In our program, we place great importance not only on theoretical knowledge but also on hands-on training. Through our laboratories, simulation systems, and field practices, we prepare our students for real-world conditions.
Our goal is not only to graduate individuals equipped with technical knowledge, but also to train responsible individuals who embrace ethical values and will make a difference in the industry.
Program Director
In addition, graduates may take part in the marketing of UAV systems and provide technical consultancy services, or teach theoretical and practical courses in educational institutions. They can be employed in private companies operating in sectors such as reconnaissance, surveillance, search and rescue, aerial photography, fire monitoring, agriculture, mapping, and logistics, or they may start their own ventures.
