Child Development Program

Sınıfta ders dinleyen öğrencilerIstanbul Kültür University’s Child Development Education Program is a 4-semester higher education program that aims to equip individual with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide music, painting, drama, gymnastics, and computer training to children in treatment in preschool and special education institutions, and playrooms in children's clinics; support their versatile development; prepare materials (puppets, concept and subject cards, story writing) and implement first aid rules.Students with at least 120 ECTS who have successfully completed all the courses in the 2-year curriculum are presented an associate degree in the field of Child Development.
 

Istanbul Kültür University’s Child Development Program offers practice-oriented education with instructors who have sector and field experience. Four kindergartens of Kültür Colleges offer students a wide range of opportunities for continuous internship and increase their professional experience.

It is a 4-semester higher education program that aims to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide music, painting, drama, gymnastics, and computer training to children in treatment in preschool and special education institutions, and playrooms in children's clinics. The medium of instruction is Turkish.

In addition to the theoretical fulfillment, our students will graduate as self-confident, responsible individuals who are aware of work safety and ethics beyond the ever increasing demands of business life through contemporary and intensive applied education in light of intensive application systems, film screenings and discussions, seminars, conferences and interviews with experts in the field, cultural trips, young and dynamic expert staff.

In Istanbul Kültür University’s Child Development Program, the external internship consists of 40 workdays. Four kindergartens of Kültür Colleges offer students a wide range of opportunities for continuous internship and increase their professional experience.

The Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) for successful graduates of Vocational Schools Programs and for transferring vertically to undergraduate study programs is conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Thanks to its curriculum which is in compliance with 4-year faculty departments, Istanbul Kültür University's Child Development Program graduates can easily transfer to the Kindergarten Teaching, Child Development and Education Teaching, and Pre-School Teaching undergraduate programs.

Istanbul Kültür University’s Child Development Program focuses on a field that is rapidly evolving field in Turkey in parallel with the whole world, and this field has now become a profession due to its need for experts. The main aim of Istanbul Kültür University’s Child Development Program is to train our students to become qualified personnel in this field.

When considering the fact that the next generation is shaped according to the quality of physical and psychosocial (psychological and social factors) development process of today’s children, the most important aim of the Child Development Program is to train individuals to use effective communication techniques with children and their parents. Moreover, it also aims to ensure students are successful in class management, are qualified in general areas of child and child development, such as special teaching methods and material development, and are competent in shaping future generations.
