The Aircraft Technology Program under the Vocational School of Technical Sciences at Istanbul Kültür University started providing education in the 2013-2014 academic year.
Istanbul Kültür University’s Aircraft Technology associate degree program aims to train prospective qualified personnel who have the necessary professional competencies to meet the needs of the aviation sector and in line with scientific and technological developments.
DGS Transition Departments
Graduates of the Aircraft Technology Program who pass the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) can continue their studies in the departments of Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Energy Management, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Pilotage, Aircraft Electrical-Electronics, Aircraft Body - Engine Aircraft Body - Engine Maintenance, Aircraft Engineering and Aircraft and Space Engineering.
The 2-year education program includes courses on the maintenance, repair and assembly of all kinds of equipment and devices used in airports and airplanes in order to ensure that students keep track of and use developing aircraft technologies.
Airplanes, which are today's most modern vehicles, have been developing rapidly since the beginning of the 1900s, and the need for qualified personnel in the aviation sector is increasing in parallel with this development. In order to meet the increasing needs, alongside the engineering training on electronics, mechanics, automatic controls, and computers, the programs based on the training of intermediate staff are also very important. In this regard, the Aircraft Technology Program's aim is to train prospective intermediate personnel who will perform the maintenance, repair and assembly of electronic devices used in airports and airplanes.
In line with this goal, our main objective is to ensure that our graduates are equipped in physics, mathematics, electronics and mechanics and to ensure that they apply their knowledge in the various areas of the aviation sector..
Moreover, as a result of the rapid development of Electronic and Computer technology, today's aircrafts can fly in a completely computer-controlled manner. Aircraft electronic systems are crucial for a safe flight. For this reason, individuals who will work in the field of aircraft electrical and electronic systems must be well trained and qualified. The aim of our Aircraft Technology Program is to train prospective qualified and talented personnel in this field.
