The main objective of the Program of Business Management is to train modern, knowledgeable, qualified, innovative, creative and open-minded successful managers who can shape the future in national and international companies. In the Program of Business Management, students are offered a wide range of courses such as production, sales, accounting, finance, auditing, marketing, public relations, human resources, corporate communication, etc.
The duration of the Program of Business Management is 2 years. The courses in the program consist of theoretical, practical and practical courses. In addition, there is a work place course within the scope of the compulsory internship program. The compulsory internship covers 40 working days and is very useful for students to get to know the working life, learn the profession on the job and know the sector in which they work. The courses within the scope of the program are supported by sectoral collaborations and professional seminars taking into account new developments and trends in the business world. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish.
To educate the managers of the future is the basic mission of the Program of Business Management. Graduates of the program will be able to work in different departments in many national and international companies.
Graduates have the opportunity to complete a 4-year undergraduate program by taking advantage of the provisions of the regulation on continuing their undergraduate education and gaining the right to register to the appropriate undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) if the quota is opened in their fields. IKU Business Management syllabuses are planned according to current course content. I. and II. Semester syllabuses include basic courses such as business management, general accounting, marketing principles, micro economics, macro economics, production management, business management, and basic law. III. and IV. Semester syllabuses include courses aimed at guiding students to their specialties. Courses such as management accounting, digital marketing, digital management, e-commerce, public relations, audit theory and external audit practices, statistics, international marketing, brand management, human resource management, financial analysis, and vocational foreign language are included.
Foreign Language and Computer Applications have an important place in IKU education programs. Managers of today's world are people who can use cognitive technologies effectively and have good knowledge of at least one foreign language. Internship is an important activity of IKU. After students complete their I. and II. semesters, they have to do internships for 40 working days in a department related to business management in a certain enterprise. The place, start date and subject of the internship are determined together with the advisor lecturer.
In recent years, all developments and changes in the world and in our country have affected the conditions of global competition in the business world, making the notion of management one of the key factors affecting business success. The general aim of the Program of Business Management is to meet the criteria required by the age with its broad and competent academic staff, strong sector collaborations, up-to-date course contents, a large pool of elective courses that allow students to focus on different fields, and student clubs that offer students the opportunity to socialize as well as connect with the business world is to train qualified, innovative, open to improvement business people, managers and entrepreneurs who stand out with their leadership skills. While the Program of Business Management guides the careers of its students with its expert academic staff, it has a perspective that takes it as a mission to continue to support its students after graduation.
