Civil Aviation Cabin Services

Established in 2016-2017 academic year within İstanbul Kültür University Vocational School of Business Administration, Civil Aviation Cabin Services is a program where individuals that like to communicate with other people, discover different geographies and want to work in the developing aviation sector can improve themselves. The main objective in the Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program is to educate students to be highly qualified individuals in this field.

Study Process:

Following the theoretical training given in the first semester, the program is supported with applied courses and students are allowed to improve themselves via core courses such as airway management, cabin communication, first aid in cabin, crew resource management (CRM), CRS applications, mock-up education, and aviation education.

Within the scope of the İKÜ Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program, specific major area courses are given by expert faculty members and students can see all of the processes closely via technical visits to companies that specialize in the field and have the opportunity to prepare for work life during the workplace practice periods covering 40 workdays.

Furthermore, the İKÜ Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program students have the opportunity to enter the Vertical Transfer Examination and continue their education at the undergraduate level after completing their associate degree education. Graduates who want to continue their education abroad can participate in undergraduate completion programs by studying the junior and senior courses abroad, in accordance with the protocols of İstanbul Kültür University with universities abroad.

İKÜ Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program has 50% and Full Scholarship quota options. In addition to OSYM scholarships, we also have university achievement scholarships and need scholarships to successful students.

The İKÜ Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program is a four-semester higher education program, standards of which are set as "Basic Safety Training" by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, aiming to raise “cabin attendants” responsible for passenger comfort and the implementation of necessary safety and security measures in air vehicles carrying passengers. The medium of instruction is Turkish.

Following the theoretical training given in the first semester, the program is supported with applied courses and students can improve themselves via core courses such as airway management, cabin communication, first aid in cabin, crew resource management (CRM), CRS applications, mock-up education, aviation education, and cabin services.

Students who study İKÜ Civil Aviation Cabin Services need to complete a total of 40 workdays in an internship so that they can graduate and further reinforce their theoretical knowledge. Besides these, they can practice what they will experience in their career through seminars, conferences and interviews with experts in the field, as well as our expert academic staff.

The Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) related to the vertical transfer of successful graduates of İKÜ Vocational Schools Programs to the formal undergraduate education programs are carried out by ÖSYM. Successful students who graduate from these programs can transfer to 4-year Aviation Management, Logistics, Logistics Management, Travel Management, Travel Management and Tourism Guidance, Tourism and Hotel Management, Transportation and Logistics, International Logistics, Transportation and Logistics Management, and Tourism Management Programs via the DGS exam.
