Our Program of Opticianry aims to raise opticians who choose, prepare and apply the correct optical tools to the patients in accordance with the prescriptions prepared by the ophthalmologists who detect refraction flaws and need to be cured or minimized.
Those who want to be opticians are expected to be careful, patient and responsible people who have the ability to solve the problems and to think systematically, an interest to physics (especially the subject of optics), chemistry and biology, being able to use hands and fingers expertly, give importance to aesthetics.
The students who complete this program will be graduated as qualified opticians who have the basic knowledge about Basic Physics and Optics, the tools about opticianry and being able to use these tools, also having enough amount of knowledge about eye and human anatomy, and qualified enough to make the selection and assembly of the glasses glass-frame according to the data transmitted to them.
The Program of Opticianry educates professionals who will work in the optical sector under the title of optician who is qualified and well-versed in current technologies.
In addition, they have the chance to complete a 4-year undergraduate program by taking advantage of the provisions of the regulation on their undergraduate studies, and if quota is opened to their fields, they have the right to enroll in the appropriate undergraduate programs with The Vertical transfer exam (DGS).
There is a curriculum which is keep on updating itself in accordance with the technological innovations, also with a strong team of academics.
Our program, graduates opticians who are qualified enough to plan the management of a business which serves in the opticianry sector, who prepare the schedules the working programs and are qualified to calculate the expenses, who market the various tools with the soul of an entrepreneur, who have the certain level of foreign languages which will help them to follow the innovations in the sector, who have the needed public and ethics responsibilities, give importance to the health precautions about their work.
Our aim is to train graduates who know the operation of the systems required for an optician and who can apply them, can use the necessary package programs, know the anatomy of the eye, can plan the operation and management of optical business, can make frame/glass selection and assembly according to prescription data, have entrepreneurial spirit, have adopted total quality philosophy and have at least one foreign language.
In the Opticianry Program, it is essential to train prospective qualified technical staff who can work with glasses. Our aim is to offer a program which can train future technical staff who are familiar with the operation of systems required by this profession and implement them; can use the necessary package programs; have knowledge of the anatomy of the eye; can plan the operation and management of optical systems; can select and assemble frames/glasses in line with the instructions; have an entrepreneurial spirit; have adopted the total quality philosophy and know at least one foreign language.
