The objective of the Civil Air Transportation Management program, which was established in the 2012-2013 academic year within the Vocational School of Business Administration in İstanbul Kültür University, is to raise up personnel that will plan and carry out ticket sales, passenger traffic, cargo and aircraft load-balance analyses, coordination of all apron-ramp services, and works related to the necessity of flight operation. Individuals equipped with these knowledge and skills will be able to meet the need for professionals using analytical thinking and management skills in the sector.

Students who graduate from the İKÜ Civil Air Transportation Management Program are awarded the title of "Ground Services Technician." The ground services technician identifies the locations of planes to be parked, the types of aircraft, and the length of time they will remain in the field, and manages the duties related to the ramping or taking aircrafts to replenishing points.
Our students are employed in ground-flight departments of ground services establishments, such as TGS, Çelebi and Havaş, airports such as Turkish Airlines, Pegasus; public institutions such as DHMİ, SHGM; terminal operating companies, such as TAV and other aviation organizations. As the air transport improves in our country, the need for ground services technicians is also increasing.
