Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School Head of the Program of Civil Aviation Cabin Services, Lecturer Oğuz Sönmezoğlu, together with Lecturer Sinem İkien, Responsible for Safety and Compliance Monitoring, and Lecturer Evren Yılmaz, Head of the Program of Flight Operations Management, visited the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Thursday, January 15, 2026, to attend an informational meeting regarding the changing education and examination system.

The Program of Opticianry of Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School signed a cooperation protocol with Veni Vidi Eye Hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with the aim of strengthening education-industry collaboration.

In collaboration with the Program of Medical Documentation and Secretarial and the Health Club, a technical tour was organized to Marmara University Prof. Dr. Orhan Oğuz Library on Friday, December 19.

Coordinated by Dr. Canan Bulut, the visit was part of the "Health Sciences Librarianship" course, and our students had the opportunity to examine library archive management, documentation processes, and the academic work environment firsthand.

In collaboration with IKU Vocational School and the Turkish Association of Private Schools (TÖZOK), the "Early Childhood Education Conference" was held on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Held under the theme "Age 2 at School: Educational and Developmental Foundations," the event addressed the educational and developmental aspects of the 2-year-old age group, one of the most critical periods in preschool education.

The “Health Tourism” course, led by Lecturer Emin Aksan, Head of the Program of Medical Documentation and Secretariat, hosted Mükkerem Şen, Founder of IME Clinic, as a guest speaker. In the course held on Tuesday, October 7, Mükkerem Şen shared valuable insights on medical tourism, the areas of activity of health tourism agencies, and the processes involved in this field.

In cooperation with the Financial Literacy Club, The Program of Foreign Trade, and the Program of E-Commerce and Marketing, an event titled “Marketing & Trade in Action” was held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building, Bakırköy Campus.

The event featured Serkan Ünal, Sales and Marketing Manager at Enthoosia, as the guest speaker, and was moderated by Lecturer Tülay Ölmez, Head of the Program of Foreign Trade, and Assist. Prof. Emine Anık, Head of the Program of E-Commerce and Marketing.

The administration of Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School, together with representatives from the Program of Flight Operations Management, and key personnel from Turkish Airlines’ Human Resources and Dispatcher departments, held a cooperation meeting.

During the meeting, which took place on Thursday, August 7, topics such as internship opportunities for students, the recruitment process for graduates, and mutual training activities were discussed. Potential initiatives to strengthen the collaboration between the industry and the university were also explored.

This year, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched the Türkiye Culture Route Festival across 20 cities, with its 8th stop being Cappadocia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Anatolia. The opening ceremony of the festival, which began on August 2 and will conclude on August 10, was hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ankara.
