IKU Vocational School

A technical trip to the roof GES application, done in cooperation with Istanbul Enerji A.Ş, area of ​​Cemal Kamacı Sports Facility was organized by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) Alternative Energy Resources Technologies Program.  During the trip held on Tuesday, May 23, the students had the chance to practice on site.

Lecturer Evren Yılmaz, one of our Flight Operations Management Program academicians, gave a seminar on "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Commercial UAV Piloting" to the students of Beylikdüzü Metropolitan Yücel Akkaş Secondary School on Wednesday, May 17.

The Second of the "Aviation Summit" organized by IKU Vocational School, was held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall. In the event, participated by aviation high schools and other participants, our students had the chance to get to know prominent names in the field of Aviation and conversed with them. At the summit, the development of aviation, employment opportunities and how the speakers advanced their careers were discussed.

IKU Vocational School Head of Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program Lecturer Emin Aksan participated in the Erasmus+ KA171 staff training mobility between 01.05.2023 and 05.05.2023 at the University of Sousse, which is one of our partner universities. Lecturer Aksan, who also took part in the meeting held at the Faculty of Medicine, made observations in the simulation rooms at the faculty.

IKU IHA1 Commercial Drone Piloting trainings, approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, continue at full speed at Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School with a large participation.

Lecturer Evren Yılmaz from the Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) Flight Operations Management Program, gave FUGO Ground Handling, one of our industry partners , training on "Load Control, Balance and Communication" approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.

Lecturer Evren Yılmaz from the Flight Operations Management Program, gave a seminar on "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Commercial UAV Piloting" to Dolmabahçe Aviation High School students on Friday, April 7th.

The Program of Civil Aviation Cabin Services organized a trip to Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, under the coordination of Program Director Lect. Kübra Öztürk and Lect. Oğuz Sönmezoğlu. Our students, who were informed at the Mock-Up training areas within the scope of the trip, had the opportunity to follow the process by watching the current trainings.

Lecturer Kübra Öztürk from IKU Vocational School, participated in the training held in Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) Lörrach with Erasmus+ KA103 Partner Countries Staff Teaching Mobility as a part of the 2022-2023 project period.

In the training held between 13-17 March 2023, Lecturer Kübra Öztürk made a presentation on managing cultural diversity and intercultural differences.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School was given the "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Organization Authorization Certificate" by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. IKU Vocational School, which meets the requirements of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Instruction (SHT-IHA) of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, has been authorized to provide IHA0 and IHA1 commercial pilot training.
