Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Insurance Professional Committee held a meeting with the heads of insurance departments and scholars on 14 June 2022. “CAREER TALKS AT HYATT REGENCY ATAKÖY HOTEL”

The "Career Talks at Hyatt Regency Ataköy Hotel" event was held in the company of Lecturer Pelin Tuna Arslan, Head of the Program of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School Tourism and Hotel Management and Program Advisor Lecturer Hilal Gündoğan, to help our students draw their career maps. At the end of the training, many students gained internship opportunities from the Hyatt Regency Ataköy family for the summer term.

IKU VOCATIONAL SCHOOL VEGA DRONE TEAM PARTICIPATED IN "BAKIRKÖY DRONE FESTIVAL"

IKU Vocational School VEGA Drone Team participated in the "Bakırköy Drone Festival" event organized at Ataköy International Youth Center for Bakırköy Youth and Sports District Directorate; primary, secondary, high school and national defence school students to gain knowledge, skills and curiosity in the fields of drone construction and use, which is one of the favorite topics of the aviation industry.

BORSA ISTANBUL INC. (BIST) TECHNICAL VISIT

In cooperation with Accounting and Auditing Club, Financial Literacy Club, and the Program of Business Management, a technical visit to Borsa Istanbul (BIST) was held on Tuesday, June 7,2022. Within the scope of the visit, a lecture was given to our students about BIST indices, capital market transactions, stock market activities, domestic and foreign markets by BIST Corporate Communication Director Alper Ayden. The event, in which Borsa Istanbul trading and session halls were also visited, ended with the meal organization.

FUTURETEX ISTANBUL CONTEST COACH TUVANA BÜYÜKÇINAR MET WITH PROGRAM OF FASHION DESIGN STUDENTS

The International Fabric Design Contest was organized by the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (İTHİB), which carries out projects to support young designers, develop global design perception and perspectives, create new projects applicable to the sector, and ensure that the project outputs are used in the industry, under the coaching of Designer Tuvana Büyükçınar.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Junior Technical College (MYO) Program of Fashion Design students participated in the conversation titled “Career Planning and Job Search Process in the Ready-Made Clothing Sector”.  In the interview, where Süleyman Çakıroğlu, Secretary- General of the Education Foundation of İstanbul Apparel Exporters’ Associasion (İHKİB), and our Human Resources and Recruitment Specialist Yener Üstadımız, were speakers; issues such as certificate programs organized by İHKİB, job and internship opportunities, CV preparation process, job interview processes with HR unit

INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS OF EMRE ŞAHİN, ONE OF THE STUDENTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF GRAPHIC DESIGN

Poster design of Emre Şahin, one of the students from the Department of Graphic Design, designed within the scope of the course titled “Conceptual Art”, entered the top 80 among 3041 works created by 1603 designers at the BIAH 3rd Bolu International Poster Design Competition with the theme of “Violence”, which was held with participation from 6 continents and 46 countries. Our student's design was included in 34 works selected to be exhibited from Turkey.
