IKU VOCATIONAL SCHOOL HAS BEEN GRANTED GROUND HANDLING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION AUTHORIZATION BY THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF CIVIL AVIATION

In the 25th year of our university, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation granted the Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School the authorization for internal and external training and certification in the field of "Ground Handling" through the trainer certificate numbered HAD-YHM 309. Within the scope of the training authorization, Vocational School Program of Aviation students will be able to take advantage of this opportunity before graduating and be exempt from the authorized training subjects when they enter the sector.

LECTURER EMİN AKSAN STUDIED AT SAINT JOSEPH UNIVERSITY OF BEIRUT

Lecturer Emin Aksan, one of the academicians of IKU Vocational School of Program of Opticianry took courses of Social Entrepreneurship, Public Health and Financial Analysis in Health Institutions between 14-18 March 2022 at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, one of our partner universities within the scope of KA171 Project Periods Erasmus+ Personnel Training Mobility.

“NEW TRENDS AND NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN DIGITAL MARKETING”

A talk titled “New Trends in Digital Marketing and New Career Opportunities” was held on Tuesday, March 22, in cooperation with IKU Vocational School and Marketing Club. Cremicro Digital Marketing Agency Digital Marketing Manager Enes Taşcı, who participated as a speaker at the event moderated by Marketing Club Consultant Lecturer Emine Anık and Marketing Club President Sabri Öztürk, talked about trend topics and career opportunities in digital marketing in detail. The event ended after our students' questions were answered.

THE VISIT OF AYTAÇ MEDIA, PRODUCER OF “DİLBERAY” CINEMA FILM, TO IKU VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) Program of Radio and Television Technology students hosted Aytaç Media owners Aytaç Aydağ and Anıl Oğuz at RTV Studios. At the event held on Wednesday, March 16, our guests talked about the movie Dilberay, which they produced, and their future projects. SEMINAR ON “NOT JUST ONE DAY, EVERYDAY: MARCH 8 AND WOMEN'S PLACE IN SOCIETY”

In cooperation with IKU Vocational School, Gender Club, Marketing Club and Health Club, a seminar titled “Not Just One Day, Every Day: March 8 and Women's Place in Society” was held on Thursday, March 17. Mor Roof Women's Shelter Foundation Volunteer Zuhal Güreli and Lawyer Nursaç Katırcı participated in the event moderated by Gender Equality Club and Marketing Club Consultant Lecturer Emine Anık and Health Club Consultant Lecturer Canan Bulut Korkmaz as speakers. They talked in detail about the legal rights of women and gender equality.

TEKİŞ LASTİK R&D WORKS STARTS WITH PROGRAM OF FASHION DESIGN

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) Program of Fashion Design visited Tekiş Lastik on Tuesday, 8 March and held meetings with company officials. Tekiş Lastik, which produces more than 3 million meters per year with narrow woven elastics, columns, strips, cat-dog collars, pet costumes, elastic belts, polyp tape types, patterns, and a wide variety of printed garment rubbers, Tekiş Lastik also wanted to contribute to our students' budgets by taking freelance pattern studies from our Program of Fashion Design students.

DESIGNERS OF THE FUTURE GROW ON THE FIELD

Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School Program of Fashion Design, which always gives its students field experience and cooperates with the leading institutions and organizations of the sector in this context, continues its on-site production-design practices. The first lesson of the term was held at Colin's Head Office Education Branch on Thursday, March 10, as part of the "Education in the Workplace" activities for the "Denim Design" lesson of our 2nd year Program of Fashion Design students.
