IKU Vocational School

The "Flight Operations Specialist Training Content Preparation Workshop" organized by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Ankara between 27-29 March 2024 was attended by the Program of Flight Operations Management Training Manager Lecturer Murat Nizam as the representative of Istanbul Kültür University. Lecturer Nizam made important contributions to dispatcher education. 

An event titled "HR Meetings-I" was held on Monday, April 1, 2024, in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School Program of Business Management and Program of Civil Aviation Cabin Services. Human Resources Manager Uğur Memiş, who attended the event as a speaker, gave information on the matters to be considered in job interviews.

In cooperation with IKU Vocational School and Design Factory, an event titled "Einstein's Touch: The Mysterious World of Spacetime" was organized. The event, which was held with intense participation, was attended by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özer, Director of IKU Vocational School, as a speaker. In the event, important topics such as Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, the concept of spacetime and the effects of these theories on today's science and technology were discussed. Prof. Dr.

Head of İKÜ Vocational School Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özer, Deputy Head Lecturer Gözde Kuzu Uluçay, Head of Program of Medical Documentation and Secretariat Lecturer Emin Aksan and the students of the Program of Medical Documentation and Secretarial organized a technical trip to Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital on Monday, April 1, 2024. We would like to thank Hospital Director and Chief Physician Dr. Sevim Şuekinci and her team for their support and nice hospitality to our university.

A seminar titled “Talks from the Air” was organized by  Vocational School program of Flight Operations Management on Tuesday, March 27, 2024. Kuwait's first female captain pilot, Elif Güveyler, a very significant milestones of the aviation industry, was the guest speaker of the event moderated by Head of program of Flight Operations Management Lecturer Evren Yılmaz.

IKU Vocational School organized a talk titled "Taking Laughing Seriously" on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in the Incirli building of the Bakırköy campus.

Prof. Dr. Ahu Tunçel, one of the academicians of Maltepe University Department of Philosophy, attended the event as the speaker. Prof. Dr. Tunçel explained the relationship of the phenomenon of "laughter" with political powers since ancient times, from the perspectives of philosophers.

"Women's Rights and Gender Equality" event was held on Thursday, March 21, in cooperation with IKU Vocational School Business Management Program and Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program. In the event, where lawyer Nursaç Katırcı was the speaker, women's rights, unseen types of violence and gender equality were discussed and awareness was created in the participants.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School Head of the Program of Flight Operations Management Assist. Prof. Evren Yılmaz gave a seminar on "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Commercial UAV Piloting" to Istanbul Esenyurt University Aviation Programs students on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

İlayda Turan, Ulaş Kuzu, Nursena Yağcı and İbrahim Akkurt, graduates of IKU Vocational School Program of Flight Operations Management, passed the Flight Operations Specialist exams held by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and were thereby entitled to receive a Dispatcher License.  We congratulate the IKU graduates and wish them success in their professional lives.

A visit to Pegasus Chairperson of the Board of Directors Mehmet T. Nane was paid by Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Vocational School Deputy Directors Lecturer  Kerem Yücesan and Lecturer Gözde Kuzu Uluçay and Head of the Program of Flight Operations Management Lecturer  Evren Yilmaz, and accompanied by Pegasus Chief Dispatcher Seçgin Köroğlu, a lecturer of İKÜ Vocational School.
