IKU Vocational School Program of Banking and Insurance organized an e-seminar titled “Public Offerings, Investment Habits and Financing” on Monday, May 10th. The event, moderated by Lecturer A. Berrak Köten, Head of the Evening Education Program of Banking and Insurance, was the guest of the event, Varlık Girişim Financial Services Inc. Managing Partner and CEO İbrahim Kumsal.

Providing information about capital market instruments, the most preferred investment instruments in our country and public offerings, Kumsal; shared the statistical data on the number of public and foreign companies in the world and in Turkey, total primary and secondary public offering and paid capital increase and cash dividend sizes. Making evaluations about the stock market by country, İbrahim Kumsal emphasized the purpose and importance of the Capital Market Law No. 6362. Listing the advantages of public offerings as institutionalization, financing, globalization, strong financial structure, liquidity, credibility, recognition, re-sourcing and qualified workforce, Kumsal conveyed the stages of the public offering process to our students. Explaining the public offering planning, public offering costs, public offering value pricing and public offering methods with up-to-date examples, Kumsal also answered the questions of the participants.

Kumsal, who drew a road map for our students who want to pursue a career in the Capital Markets Board, gave advice to our students by sharing their experiences.
