IKU Vocational School

An academic collaboration agreement has been signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) and Valahia of Targoviste-Romania Univeristy, under the scope of “Entrepreneur and Innovative” university.

Within the scope of the agreement, exchange of academic staff, mutual participation of students in research projects, joint scientific activities, publications-conferences, and mutual exchange of knowledge and experience between academic-administrative staff and students in educational activities.

Organized with the participation of student representatives from Istanbul Kultur University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) programs, the 2020-2021 academic year "IKU Vocational School Student Summit" was held on June 21, 2021 in an open environment with mobile hybrid technology in Incirli campus. The summit was followed by remote connection via CATS simultaneously with mobile hybrid technology.

The June issue of the e-bulletin named "IKU Vocational School Student Platform", prepared by the students of Istanbul Kultur University Vocational School, is out.

Lecturer Tanju Eski, Founder of LPR Education Consultancy, one of our course-hour paid academics, gave "Credit Determination Methods Training in Banking" within the scope of the "Individual Banking" course conducted by Lectuer Ayşegül Berrak Köten, Head of IKU Vocational School Banking and Insurance Secondary Education Program.

The graduation projects prepared by the 2nd year students of the Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program within the scope of the "Integrated Project" course were exhibited in the yard of our İncirli campus on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, between 10.00-18.00. Lecturer Ayşegül Berrak Köten, Head of IKU Vocational School (MYO) Banking and Insurance Secondary Education Program presented her paper titled “The Effect of Macroeconomic Variables on the Stock Exchange Performance of Real Estate Investment Trusts: Panel Regression Analysis” at the Global Business Research Congress (GBRC-2021), 7th Global Business Research Congress held on 10-11 June 2021.

Directed by Elif Karabulut, a graduate of IKU Vocational School Program of Radio and Television Technology, the film "Deneme 1 2" made it to the semi-finals of the Cefalù Film Festival in Italy. We wish success to our graduate Elif Karabulut together with her teammates Kağan Ünal, Dijvar Perişan and Devran Gün.

IKU Vocational School (MYO) Program of Radio and Television Technology Head Selin Okumuş is in the Organizing Committee and IKU Vocational School Radio and Television Technology Tayfun Belet is in the Selection Committee. The National Environmental Short Film Competition held as part of the "International Environmental Short Film Festival" has concluded. IKU Vocational School Program of Air Logistics Head Lecturer Dr. Gökhan Kırbaç presented his paper titled " The Effect of the Blockchain Technology on Service Companies and Food Retailers: An Overview of the Blockchain Use Cases and Applications" at the "Global Conference on Services and Retail Management (GLOSERV 2021)" conference organized online by the University of South Florida in the USA on May 11-13, 2021.

IKU Vocational School Head of the Program of Banking and Insurance Second Education Lecturer Ayşegül Berrak Köten's in-book chapter titled "Efficiency Analysis of the Liquidity Structure of the Banking Sector in the Pandemic Period" is part of the compilation book "The Effects of the Covid 19 Pandemic on Business and Economy - Selected Articles" published by Gazi Publishing House. It was included in the “Pandemic Period Financial Markets and Economic Growth” section.
