"DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND GLOBAL TRADE: ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP"

IKU Vocational School held an event titled "Digital Transformation and Global Trade: On Entrepreneurship" on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 in Room 1A01 of the İncirli Building on the Bakırköy Campus. At the event, where the Head of our Department of Entrepreneurship, Assist. Prof. Artür Yetvart Mumcu, was the speaker, the importance of digital transformation, global trade, and the concepts of entrepreneurship and start-ups were discussed.

"LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SEMINAR"

The "Leadership and Management Seminar" was held by the Logistics Club on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 13:00 in the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus. The event, moderated by the Head of the Program of Logistics, Assoc. Prof. Gökhan Kırbaç, was attended by Liderlik Okulu Eğitim A.Ş. General Manager Dr. Erkut Ergenç as a speaker.

VOCATIONAL SCHOOL DIRECTOR PROF. DR. MEHMET ÖZER WELCOMED THE STUDENTS WHO WON TUBITAK SUPPORT

Three "TÜBİTAK 2209-A" project applications involving our Vocational School students and advisors were awarded support in the first semester of 2024. Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özer welcomed and congratulated our students — whose projects were selected for support — in his office.

The projects eligible for support are as follows:

- "Comprehensive Analysis of Health Systems of OECD Countries: Machine Learning Perspective" & Assist. Prof. Canan Bulut (Consultant), Emine Kara (Executive), Esma Acıklı and Semanur Şahin (Researcher)

"BRAND 5.0 SUMMIT: THE BRANDING JOURNEY OF THE FUTURE!"

The "Brand 5.0 Summit," organized by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) in collaboration with Branding Türkiye on Friday, April 18, at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center, brought together the leading names of the sector and the concepts shaping the future of the brand world!

At the event, where topics such as digitalization, sustainability, and employer branding were discussed, experienced figures from the business world shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants.

ISTANBUL ATATÜRK AIRPORT APPROACH TOWER VISIT

Istanbul Kültür University Program of Flight Operations Management organized a visit to Istanbul Atatürk Airport Approach Tower on Monday, April 21 in order to contribute to the professional development of our students. Our students had the opportunity to observe the air traffic control processes on site and received detailed information about the management of air traffic, approach procedures, and communication between the tower and pilots from the experts in charge at the tower.

EID SURPRISE FOR 20 CHILDREN

The social responsibility project implemented in cooperation with Bahçelievler Municipality Family Support Unit and Istanbul Kültür University Program of Fashion Design students, turned into a meaningful surprise before the holiday.

Within the scope of the project, the heroes dreamed of by 20 children in need, identified by Bahçelievler Municipality, were brought to life on clothes. The clothes that reached the municipality through donations were redesigned by Istanbul Kültür University Program of Fashion Design students in accordance with the heroes that children love.

THE PROGRAM OF AIR CONDITIONING AND COOLING TECHNOLOGY HOSTED VATBUZ SMART AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS INC. OFFICIALS

The Program of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology hosted Vatbuz Smart Air Conditioning Systems Inc. Production Manager Cem Arslan and Export Sales Engineer Ali Çetin at our university on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. The officials informed our students about developments in the refrigeration sector and also provided information on internship and job opportunities at Vatbuz.

DGCA APPROVED GROUND SLOT TRACKING TRAINING

The “Ground Slot Tracking” training, approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, was held at the IKU Vocational School on Saturday, March 22. The training, conducted by Lecturer Evren Yılmaz, Head of the Program of Flight Operations Management, provided students with valuable insights into the tracking and management of ground slots in aviation operations, enhancing their industry-related competencies.
